Is Vesta really free?
Yes. Vesta is open-source under the GPL-3.0 license, and nothing is held back for a paid tier — SSO, audit logging, teams, and RBAC are all in the Community edition. Enterprise buys support, not features.
What do I need to run Vesta?
A Kubernetes cluster (v1.27+), Helm 3, and a PostgreSQL database. Optionally, cert-manager for TLS and metrics-server for autoscaling.
Can I use Vesta in production?
Absolutely. Vesta is designed for production workloads with health checks, autoscaling, secrets management, and multi-environment support.
How is Vesta different from Heroku?
